A Life in Flowers
About Hannah, A lifelong Florist

From buttercup and violet posies…

To luxury bouquets…

Asheville Wedding Florist
With two decades of experience in the wedding & floral industry, Hannah Warfield brings a wealth of expertise to her craft.
Her journey began on a Maryland farm, where she worked alongside her mom and grandmother in cutting gardens, nurturing the beginning of her passion for growing and arranging cut flowers.

Hannah’s remarkable career has taken her on a journey, from seed to vase.  Always with flowers at the heart of her passion, she has mastered all the various facets of the floral world, from flower farming and floral design to wedding planning and venue management.

She honed her craft and skills over a decade at the Historic Tuckahoe estate, under the tutelage of owner Sue Thompson, master gardener and floral visionary. Tuckahoe is a National Historical Landmark in Richmond Virginia and Boyhood Home of Thomas Jefferson.

There she started as an estate gardener and tour guide that enjoyed her hobby of floral design with the unique offerings of Tuckahoe’s gardens. Tuckahoe boasts 7 acres of formal gardens; including an herb garden, deciduous blooming trees, extensive historic perennial collections and rose gardens.

After 10 years at Tuckahoe, Hannah was managing a thriving wedding venue business at the estate, keeping up the ornamental gardens and offering her natural skills of floral design to clients interested in her heirloom and organic style of design.

Hannah found her forever home and farm in Asheville, where she continued to embrace her love for flowers through gardening and flower farming. In 2017, she took the leap and acquired Weaverville’s Main Street flower shop, Brown’s Floral Design and renamed it Sugar Magnolia Flower Company, adding a new chapter to her floral journey.

Hannah became a Chapel Designer in 2022, following in the footsteps of mentor and “Flower Mama”, Holly Chapple.

Chapel Designers provides Hannah the continuing education in floristry that she craves as well as a network and community of designers internationally that are connected through shared talent and values.

With a deep-rooted appreciation for the Appalachian mountains (ASU Grad!) and a healthy obsession for flowers, Hannah has found her niche and gift to give.

Most importantly Hannah and her team are passionate about flowering YOUR mountain wedding

Favorite part of the job, we ask?

“It’s the look of pure joy when they see their flowers…when the flowers arrive, it means the time is near….the time is now. It’s such a special moment to witness. ” – Hannah, your wedding florist.
